Paul was appointed General Manager Aurora Retail in March 2004. He has 22 years of electricity supply industry experience, with a focus on energy retailing for the past 13 years. Paul has broad commercial experience with roles ranging from management accounting, treasury, project management, marketing, regulatory strategy and retail/customer strategy.
Paul has a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Certified Practising Marketer and is an associate fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute.

Dr Robert Booth, Director, Bardak Ventures
Dr Booth was born and educated in Melbourne, receiving a Diploma of Electrical Engineering from the Caulfield Institute of Technology, and Bachelor, Masters Degrees, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Melbourne University. His early career was with the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, where he held a series of positions up to Chief Engineer level. This period included two years spent with overseas energy utilities in the USA, Europe and Japan.
In 1976, he was appointed as Assistant Commissioner, Engineering and a member of the Board of the State Energy Commission of Western Australia. He later established and became Chairman of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Western Australia. In mid-1981, he joined CRA Limited, becoming a Vice President with particular responsibilities for power and energy matters and private power generation proposals.
In early 1992, he became Managing Director of his own consulting company, specialising in providing high-level advice on electricity and gas industry matters, and assisting with the development of specific major projects.
He has been very active in the process of reform of the electricity and gas industries in most of the Australian States and has been a long term expert member of the Energy Reform Task Force of the Business Council of Australia. He was one of the instigators of the innovative Goldfields Gas Transmission pipeline and associated power station developments in Western Australia.
He was the Joint Regional Coordinator for the Pacific Region for the major World Energy Council study on "Energy for Tomorrow’s World and is the author of the book "Warring Tribes — the Story of Power Development in Australia".

Jeff's role is to keep Powerco growing through mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. Jeff took on this position in March 2001 after holding operational management roles with Powerco. Prior to that he was the General Manager Operations for Wairarapa Electricity Limited.
Jeff has also project managed a number of large infrastructure projects including New Zealand's first commercial windfarm at Hau Nui. He has been a director on industry associations and is currently Powerco's representative on the Gas Association of New Zealand board.
Jeff is based at Powerco's New Plymouth corporate office.

Norm McIlfatrick is the new Chief Executive of the Tasmanian Government’s lead development agency, the Department of Economic Development.
Norm, 51, took up his five-year appointment in late March 2004 and is now overseeing the department responsible for helping Tasmanian business and industry, including the Antarctic, screen and sport and recreation industries, to develop and thrive.
He returned to Tasmania in 1999 as the new Chief Executive Officer of Tasmania’s electricity distribution and retail company, Aurora Energy Pty Ltd. During his time at the helm, Aurora returned record before-tax profits for successive years and reached record electricity sales.
Norm was previously a management consultant with PA Consulting Group, working nationally and internationally with a range of electricity, gas and water utilities. He had 18 years’ experience with the Hydro-Electric Commission in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne in 1995 to take a senior position with Powercor Australia, Victoria's leading electricity distribution and retail company.
Norm is a Companion to the Institution of Engineers Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has post graduate management qualifications from the University of Tasmania and is a board member of Relationships Australia (Tasmania). Norm was born in Northern Ireland and educated in Victoria and Tasmania. He is married with three adult children and lives in Hobart.
